Our story

A thoughtful approach to mental health care.

Lume Minds Psychology was created by Zsofi de Haan from a passion for offering a more personalised and thoughtful approach to mental health care—one that recognises each person as the expert in their own experience. It brings together clinical expertise, research and lived understanding to support care that is meaningful and tailored to the individual.

At its core, Lume Minds is about creating a space where people feel seen and understood. Through compassionate, evidence-based care, the aim is to help you make sense of your inner world and find a clearer way forward.

What guides us

Evidence, expertise and your experience belong together.

Lume Minds is guided by three practical commitments that shape how care is understood, planned and adapted.

01

Personalised

Care adapts to your needs, goals, context and preferences. Evidence guides the work without forcing you into a generic pathway.

02

Connected

Therapy considers relationships, study, work, routines, physical wellbeing and the wider support system around you.

03

Evidence-informed

Current research and established psychological approaches guide care alongside clinical judgement and your lived experience.

Founder and Principal Psychologist

Zsofi de Haan, Founder and Principal Psychologist of Lume Minds Psychology

Hello.

My name is Zsofi and I am the Principal Psychologist and Founder of Lume Minds Psychology. Lume Minds reflects my passion for helping people feel truly seen and understood, while building insight into themselves—through care that is deeply empathetic, holistic and personalised.

I draw on a range of evidence-based approaches and tailor therapy to the individual. My work is informed by approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, while also drawing on mindfulness-based strategies, and emotion-focused, interpersonal and family systems frameworks.

Additionally, I work in a trauma-informed and integrative way, adapting therapy to suit each person’s needs and goals.
